BLOOD PRESSURE MONITORING

Complimentary Health Services

High blood pressure (hypertension) is a common condition suffered by many Australians. In fact a survey by the Heart Foundation found one in three Australians aged between 30-65 years have had high blood pressure. Left untreated, high blood pressure may lead to heart attack, a stroke, heart failure or kidney disease.

Most people experience no obvious symptoms of high blood pressure and generally feel well. The only way to detect changes is by my measuring your blood pressure regularly with a monitor. The good news is that if you have high blood pressure it can be controlled with lifestyle changes and/or medication.

No appointments are necessary.

Instore Medication Review

Complimentary health services

If you are managing multiple medications every day Dunsborough Pharmacy offer in store medication reviews. This is conducted in the privacy of our consulting rooms.

Given 15,000 hospital visits annually are caused by problems with medications Dunsborough Pharmacy see the medication review as a great way of preventing a potentially unnecessary stay in hospital if concerns can be addressed early.

Whilst not as comprehensive as a Home Medicines Review the pharmacist is still able to spend time dealing with any questions or issues you may be having with your medications, their timing, their side effects and the management of your related health conditions.

If you suffer from Type 2 Diabetes OR take more than 5 medications daily OR take over 12 doses per day, then it is even more important to use this service. We would recommend a yearly check up of your medications with our experienced pharmacists. Please let our pharmacist know if you feel you would benefit from this review and they will arrange a convenient time as a great preventative service.
